Stew, I am aware of the NPP committee's rationale...they seek to take the wheel from us and steer our country in a direction that they believe would be best for them. No big surprise. If they called it the "Make Physicians Who Spent 12 Years of Hard Work and $300,000 Dollars Investing In Their Careers Into $50,000 Annual Salary Civil Servants Who No Longer Care If They Do A Good Job Or Not Act of 2009," I bet there would be a lot less support for it. It is plain and simple...I will not back any health care plan the members of congress are not willing to take part in. If it's not good enough for them and their children, why should it be good enough for me?

And yes...I am a lion. A very clumsy lion who apparently can't walk up a riverbank without killing himself, but a lion nonetheless.

Health reform yes, what these guys are trying to rush and sneek through before they're replaced in the next election, not on your life. Government health care would be a disaster the same as medicare and any other thing the government has it's hands in. Fix what's wrong with what we got first, if they can't do that, another government healthcare program is just another way for them to launder money into their own pockets.

I have decided on a new personal policy in regards to controversial subjects, the idea that I will comment once, and let my comments speak. That way nobody can accuse me of the unforgivable sin of wanting to argue, even though it takes 2 to argue. If anyone wants clarification of a point I make in the future they can PM me.

What was I most shocked about? That in reading the coverage this morning, the Nobel Prize had also been awarded to Rough Rider Teddy Roosevelt, a notorious war monger and perhaps the man most responsible for refining America's imperialist tendencies.

I would say not to worry about the award so much, as it has always been an award by the popular elite, for the popular elite. But this is a pretty special case.

Stew, I would also like for you to note 2 men who did not get the award; Ronald Reagan, despite his efforts in nuclear disarmament ( I wouldn't have given it to him, but if that is the criteria he deserved it 1000x more than Obama), and Mahondes K. Ghandi - who if ever there was a candidate deserving of this award, it was Mahatma Ghandi. The Nobel committee claims that they try not to award current political figures, so Ghandi was snubbed.
