Default Spoon buzz baits?

Has anyone used buzz spoons? I have one but have not goton a chance to use it. What do y'all think of them?

The one I have has a Fluro weed guard.

To me it seems like to would stay on top better than a conventional buzz bait, because of the keel in the spoon!

Thanks,

Will do bama!

BTW-I got it on sale a BPS on sale for 3 bucks, it's most of the time 10-15 bucks! It's gotta be good for that much!

That looks like a nemire spoon. They are very good around heavy grass. I have caught a lot of bass on mine.

If your using them in heavy grass, I would imagine that they are pretty weedless right!?

Yup that's it, I just did a Google search and fond them.

Thanks for the advise!

Yeah, semi weedless I guess. I'll pick out holes in the grass and throw it past the holes and slide it over the grass (thats where the spoon part comes in) and buzz it slow through the open holes. BTW I use at least 20# mono when I fish the grass.

I purchased one of these spoons last spring at BPS. I was very happy with the results. It turned out to be my best buzz bait by far. Could retrieve it very slow, very weedless, and a gentle gurgle from the smaller blade spinning, something the bass around hear seemed to appreciate much more than the louder commotion of other buzzbaits. Unfortunately, I lost mine, and our BPS no longer carries them.

Thanks for the info Keith! I love a slow buzz bait!

You can probably find a new one on line--e-bay if all else fails!

BTW- what color was the one you had?

How do you think a floating ribbit would do for a trailer?

30# braid will do just fine and a ribbit trailer should work fine too. When you try it let us know how it works for you.

The color I had bassboss was gold. I replaced the skirt that came with it with a bright yellow, not quite chatruese.
