Default Trim Hesitates

on my mercury 90 hp,new on 1994..its on my nitro ..

when i tilt motor up it hesitates at about half way up when i am lifting to put the motor brace thing on..

the only thing i did was change the fluid last year..i filled the fluid in the all way up position until it just ran out the fill hole..

any ideas.also it makes like a clicking noise going up and wine..is that normal when lifting out of water?

mine has a 2 stage cylinder it go's from 2 push rods to a single long one. you may notice that the upper stage lifts faster..

rule of thumb with a trim unit DO NOT mess with it or fill it unless it does not work at ALL..

i guess your right..i bought trim fluid at wal-mart..it seemed my problems started after i changed it..
could different fluid make difference..

it almost acts to me like a seal went and is allowing air into it, only guess..
