Need help for Frog
Just wondering if it is possible to avoid the "belly up" of frog. I mean when the frog such as Tiki toad, honey toad and buzz frog whatever, is belly up, it is easy to hang up weeds because the hook point is upsidedown.

i have had this problem with horny toads. i make a cut between the legs and use a 4/0 hook with the point buried in the plastic.even if it flips over it will -if worked right- still catch fish..

Seems to me this happens alot. I just make sure the hook point stays burried just under the skin. They still hit them upside down or right side up.

Another trick is to pull the rubber out of a rubber core sinker and crimp it to the hook(the sinker, not the rubber core ). If you stop it it will sink, but it ought to run right with the added weight.

That makes sense! However, do you think it will affect the Tiki toad's kinda "buzz" action? Thanks |

It should work OK.....
Hopefully the hook is large enough to go back between the legs and still skin hook the point on top of the frog..... |

Try the Swamp Donkey from Reaction Innovations. www.reactioninnovations.com I have not a had a problem with them turning over or not running true and I have been throwing them into some thick stuff. The hook ride so close to the body that it does not pick up any gunk. They run about $8.00 a piece and have a variety of colors. We have been catching some toads, (8lbers and my buddies new PB 10lb 3oz,) out here in AZ. Gotta love that tw bite.
