Skeeter, Bass Cat, Bullet, Allison, Phoenix... those are the only independent ones i can think of...

evryone else is tracker marine or platinum

I'm not sure this is a good thing. With all these boats owned by one holding company it seems to me like they will dictate the price.

Its not a good thing... simply because Platinum will consider Ranger its flagship and let the others quality slip so they can sell more of that brand... just look at what tracker marine has done to ProCraft

I'm not sure I agree with your reasoning. I think everything is fine as long as the consumer has a full range of products from a price/quality perspective. I don't really care who makes it, as long as it serves my purpose, but then again I am not a fanboy for a particular company.

I will disagree here. ProCraft was not good before moving to Tracker marine, and I think they're better now than they ever have been.

The best part of this joint consolidation is that each boat company brings something different, and something somewhat unique to the table. I think you'll see some great boats made better!
