Default Another outdoor show season over....

The Outdoor/Fishing show season comes and goes so quick. Had booth at the Orange County Outdoor show again this year. This show is run by a high school/middle school club and I'm always amazed by how well it is done. The kids help the vendors unload, set up, break down and load vehicles if needed. They will watch your booth while you do a presentation or just want to take a break and grab something to eat. Here are a few pics.....

Another FishnArt creation

Anna Point Marina is selling the whole line of PowerTeam lures.

Just some of the Lew's reels that were for sale

And a little snow on the way home yesterday.

A lot of reel brands are going to the flat black look - Quantum Smoke, BPS JM Carbonlite, Lews. Personally I really don't like it, although they might compliment a rod like the Veritas or Carrot Stix, I wouldn't purchase a reel (or rod) for that reason (color coordiantion). Other opinions on the black?

Baitcasters are $79.99, 99.99, 129.99, 149.99, 199.99, and 249.99. The model names/letters/numbers are pretty confusing so maybe Ol' Wally may put the wrong price on the box. In my pic the ones on right are the $79 reels. They are ok but the 129.99 are the deal (quoting your favorite Helicopter lure pitchman).

Spinning are $39.99 and 59.99. As I stated in another post the $39.99 reels are sweet reels. There is nothing, I repeat, nothing better on the market for that price.

Color really doesn't make a difference to me or matching the rods and reels either. I doubt the bass care too

Does Power Team make a toad or frog bait? It's a success because the kids do so much to make it work. That's cool they do so much.

I dont believe they do bob. They make some cool looking plastics though, looking forward to trying some out this year.

No frogs that I saw. Some interesting ideas for finesse worms and other baits.

The club/show does well because of the high expectations from the sponsor. Weeds out the kids that don't put out the effort. Very rewarding to those who do. Parents are very supportive as well.
