Default For those who were crying about restricted waters in VA

I remember the tears being shed here, by those who were worried about the restriction on some VA waters by the US Govt, can you believe that those waters were the home court of USN Seals Unit 6, the crew that got Bin Laden, guess things are not always what they seem to be, and yes their saftey is more important than fishing waters

Dang, Dom. Isn't it a little early in the day to be trolling?

Not the same waters. The cyring was over Marine Corps Base Quantico's closure of the Quantico creek. The Seals waters are off the coast of Virginia just south of VA Beach and thier watters are closed due to the large number of rounds fired in the direction of the water from the rifle range.

There is also a communications center there, considering the logisitics of that base, and the timely closing of the waters, because of live rounds, I would not say it's a stretch that saftey and secrecy were not out of the possibilities.
Hey Bryce, I work overnights, it's mid day for me

Guys I've met and spent a long time talking with an original member of Seal Team 6. He did a lot of his training (shooting) right near Dulles Airport in the same area as old Redskin Park. They also trained in many other places all around the country and the world. VA beach, Quantico, North Atlantic, Beruit, etc, etc so I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't headed out on the Potomac to do a little work. But that's not the reason that section of the Potomac was closed.....

Its not a coms center its an Air Traffic Control squadron. My old reserve unit was based out of the same building. If you hang around there long enough you can see the SEALs running manuvers next door on black unmarked helicoptors of zooming off shore in their grey cigar boats. Its quite a site. But, that is the openly acknowledged home of teams 2 and 4 which I got a chance to work with in Iraq. All professionals.

I've seen the grey cigar boats a few times. Usually there are two of them.

No but got some game 5 tickets in my trash can..

Ice is melted and the Olympia's are now moth balled.

Have two weeks of dark days and no major projects..

It will get ugly around my office in the next 10 work days..

Boredom is a bad playground.
