Default Heat Got You Down?

ITS HOT

I wondered if any have fished today or for the tourney or prefished, I figure the bite should be there, if you can stand the heat... it has a nice wind here and soon a big severe storm is over INDY right now, wonder how the top water bite would be..BOOM!

No mistaking it, the heat is on. I had been in the northeast just a week ago and I thought it was hot and humid up there and I heard everyone complaining. But it just can't compare to the hot and humid weather in the south. The sun is a good bit more powerful here than it is up north, and some of the days are just oppressive.

I went out today and I got a 5lber and four other keepers and then I went to a smaller lake and got a bunch of babies. I got them mostly on a tube and fluke and a finese worm. It is hotter than hell in St. Louis. Don't got a camera so couldn't put these for the tourney.

fished a pond for about two hours right before sunset tonight with two mini-kings, one white double blade, the other a black colorado. Had 3 on the white one, all about a pound each, and one on the black one right around sunset. Caught two on the white one using a jigging retrieve, and the one on black came from waking. Fished from around 7:30 to 9:30, nothing really over a pound or longer than 15", but man you can't beat how hard pond fish will hit a lure. Goin back tomorrow night to fish til the morning hours, and probably saturday, too.

supposed to say sunset, not midnight, heh.
