minimal monkey damage
I went to one of the local shops today to "just kill time and look around" (As though I ever thought that would work).
I didn't get anything too much out of the ordinary. Some 5 3/4" watermellon kut tail. A pack of sweet beavers. A pack of 12" midnight blue hand poured worms, some 4/0 and 6/0 owner hooks and then some frogs I hadn't seen before they are made by canyon plastics. I threw one of the frogs on and messed around with it in the pool this afternoon and love them. They sit a little higher in the water than most of the plastic frogs (horny toads and ribbits) and their legs have the action of a buzz bait. They stayed floating with the 6/0 hooks. I figured I would pass it on. I got the 4 1/2" grasshopper http://www.canyonplastics.web.aplus....gory_Code=frog

I got on tacklewarehouse.com last night and got a few beavers, Strike King #5s, a couple of different drop shot worms, and some tungsten weights. Got out of there spending 60 bucks. But don't worry, Momma said I could. And she was proud I only went 10 dollars over my allowance. HEHEHEHEHE!!!

yeah seems like you got off lightly this time, but the bait monkey uses that as a tactic to make you over confident.... good buys though... like the sweet beavers and huge hand poured worms...

Very cool looking frog! I'll have to try some, how do they cast btw?

Additional pics
Kevin has nothing to worry about. these pics are more of a minimum exposure view taken with an iphone.
Here is the side view. (Marlboro added for perspective) Hollow bodied. View from behind I like what they did with the underneath. The holes on the sides only go half way up the body. The frog stays afloat on the 6/0 hook that is in the picture. As far as casting, they have done fine for me. The only weak point appears to be where the legs meet up with the body. I suspect that they will be the first part to rip.

I usually have some. Everyone local has been out of them for a week or so. I will be picking some up shortly.
