Default Tiki Sticks (Variety)

How many different colors of Tiki Sticks/Senkos would you say you own?

And do you all use 5" mostly?

Watermelon red flake, green pumpkin, and baby bass. The baby bass doesn't seem to work well for me, but the other two are great.

I've got a bunch.

Swirl series:WM/chartreuse, baby bass/pearl swirl, WM/green pumpkin, black/blue.

Dip Stick: redbug, green pumpkin, pumpkin, WM

Regular:Wm black flake, WM red, green pumpkin, red shad

That's right off the top of my head.

Water calrity, cloud cover, and the amount of light are the main factors I use. In clear water I use darker, more natural colors, stained water brighter colors. Coudy days darker colors, sunny days brighter colors, Early/late darker colors, daylight lighter colors. What colors I use is a factor of all three-it depends on the conditions.

reb,
we've noticed this summers fishing hasn't been as great fishing with the senkos or tiki's...I mean they still produce but last year it seemed like the bite was really on, and this year its so so...has your fishing in texas been like that?

It's been consistant, JB, but is following what appears to be the usual summer pattern-in the spring we were catching a lot more fish regardless of the bait. Flyrod and I were catching 15+ fish every time out, often 25+ but now we are doing good to catch 10. Just that time of the year. It will pick up again in the fall.

We had a great spring here reb for size and numbers, but this last month its been plenty of small fish, but they are still biting...they are putting more and more walleye and saugeye in all our bass lakes, many folks are hitting them.

Just came back from water. It was rainy and WINDY. Caught bunches of 2lb LMs on tiki sticks and Zoom Brush Hog. I could not figure out why all topwater did not work, even frogs. However, I did catch a 3.1lb SM on Bamboo Sticks!

Hey, Reb, Is that your favor too?

Probably someplace like Dick's or Sportsman's Warehouse-WalMart probably won't carry them.

Wal-Mart MAY have bamboo sticks...I know I've bought them at Wal-Mart before but they don't carry much variety..maybe 2 colors at most...yours may be a bit different.
