Default One more day, then BRING IT ON!!!

Thats right folks, one more day and I start my vacation. Come 4AM tomorrow morning I am going to be heading out for some bass and pike fishing. The last 3 weeks have had awful weather, cold, windy and rain. The average nightly temps have been around 38 degrees the past couple weeks. But things warmed up this week to the upper 70's and low 80's. Tomorrow is supposed to be partly cloudy and 82 for a high. I don't know exactly what to expect with warm weather following 3 weeks of cold weather, but I have 7 rods rigged and ready to go. The pike fishing always picks up here in the fall so I'll be targeting them especially. Great fighters and good table fare. And of course, I'll be looking for a big ole sow fall season bass. My main lures will be spinnerbaits, crankbaits, jigs, and topwater. Past experience has taught me that this lake in the fall is prime spinnerbait water. TGIF and lets get this day over with!!! haha

This weather we are having around here is so great for October... we have had no rain all week, and not supposed to have any through next Thursday either.... and highs in the 70's and 80's as well.... and it just so happens to fall on my fall break from college! Perfect timing mother nature! Good luck to you Keith.

Sounds good keith! Hope you get some good fish, and good eats! Weather's the same here, planing on going fishing as soon as I finish this here samich. Warm and choppy water, I'm think the spinnerbait bite is gonna great!

Well I got out early and the bass were hitting from the get go. Only thing is, as soon as the sun started to shine the bass completely shut off. So from 5AM to 7AM is was good. I caught about 6 or so durring that 2 hour period. Had another HAWG on at 7:30 that crushed my buzzbait worked over the tops of weeds in 10 foot of water but she came unbuttoned. Didn't even get a hit the next 6 hours before I called it a day. Might get out again in the morning if I can drag my butt out of bed, lol. Jitterbugs and buzzbaits before sunrise was the ticket. This is a pic of the first one I caught. Sorry about the quality. A cell phone in the dark isn't the best camera gear, lol.
