I haven't, Ron. I haven't been fishing since July, to be honest with you. But the first chance I get, believe me, I'm trying out the Trokars and I'll let you know how they do.

I haven't used Trokars but there are a few guys in my club that use them and they like them a lot. I was leaning on the side of his boat at a weigh in and was playing with them and man are they ever sharp.

One thing about them is being so super sharp means they tend to get super dull after a while of use. I keep a hook stone in the boat at all times. If you get hung up and pull it out odds are the tip was dulled, but I guess the same could be said for other brands. Other than that they are super sharp, and if they weren't ten bucks a pack I would use them all the time.

Heard, I think on here somewhere, that they're so sharp that they are hard to texaspose with plastics, because the tip just poke through?

I will say they are both good and bad. (I was using the 4/0 Flipping hook) The good, they stick what ever they hit. The bad, when flipping, don't let the hook hit your finger as it will slice right through it! I did stick one fish so good that I almost broke it's jaw trying to get the hook out (crossed his eyes!). The bad, they make a big hole, well these ones did. On a couple that weren't skewered, the hook just fell out of hole.

Ive never used them but a couple guys on my team say they had problems with the tips breaking off? Also they say that they dull very easily. I think because they are so sharp that you can actually tell a difference when they dull, unlike on other hooks that aren't as sharp? Just a thought!

There were problems with the first run of the hooks that tips on a ton of them, even the heavier flipping hooks were bending over. I haven't heard as many reports of this now that they supposedly fixed this issue. But any hook that has an extremely sharp and narrow point will be more susceptible to bending. I even bend the occasional tip on light wire hooks like Gammy DS/SS and some of the lighter Owner Cutting Point worm hooks.

It looks like Trokar is dropping their prices from $9.99 a pack to $6.99 per pack. Maybe a few more of us will give them a try now.
