Default Am I the only one?

After reading a bazillion posts about crank baits, swim baits, wake baits etc. I'm really kind of surprised that no has mentioned one of the best (for me anyway) all-time bass catching plugs I've ever used. I've caught more fish on a broken back Mirro-Lure than all the other hard baits in my box combined. You can fish it at whatever depth you like. Just let it sink on down and retrieve it slow and it'll stay right there. You can troll them or pitch them. I've even done flipping with them in cattails. Does no one else still have any of these old standbys? If not, you should give them a try. You might just be glad that you did.

Hey TT No google for me I've got a few from the 70's that are semi-retired. One in particular that has the most incredible "hunting" habit...this plug will actually change direction in mid retrieve...and I don't mean veer off to the left or right it tries to do a 180!!! caught so many fish on it that I felt compelled to save it for "special"

It's a great plug. I've got a few in my box from when I was a kid back in the 50's. Don't leave home without it.

It's the first time I've heard of it. Off to google!

NFE - I hear they are good for TROLLING!

I don"t have personal experience with trolling while fishng but I do troll when phishing, occasionally.

WRONG!

They are GREAT for trolling!

That you haven't trolled with these is surprising, as you are the biggest troll in cyberspace.

I managed to find a frog-colored one of those on ebay a while back. It was a favorite lure of mine as a boy. I really ought to get started on a shadowbox for some of my faves, rather than just have them sitting on a shelf.

You know they're still in production after around 60 or so years. Must be doing something right. I don't know how to do a link but you can look up L&S Lures in Largo, Fl.

I had one of those once but I have no idea where it went. I guess I'll keep digging!
