Baldacci fans

Met author David Baldacci last night at a book signing. He's got another Camel Club book out. He's got some real good stories so if you like his writing get out and see him speak......good stuff!

I've read several of his books. Great reading.

He tells a great story about a trip he was taking to NY to meet with a MD to do a little research on a poison he wanted to use to kill someone in one of his books. The doc was leaving the country and couldn't meet with him so he spoke with the doc on the phone while on the train. Phone conversation on the train kind of went something like this

"So if I want to poison this person this will work?"

"Great, you'd use it if you wanted to kill someone?"

"Is it traceable? No. Excellent. No trace at all?"

"Excellent. You sure that this will work."

"Good so if I want to kill anyone else it the same manner I can call you again? Thanks"

All the time he's taking notes and not paying attention to those around him. He finishes the conversation and looks up. Two businessmen across from him are easing away and an armed marshal is moving in with his hand on his weapon.

So at the end of one of his books you may see where he apologizes to those riders on the amtrak train it was done to satisfy the judge.
