Default Engine troubles

My engine starts fine and everything but when I get it up to near full throttle it suddenly shakes violently and loses a lot of thrust, if I lower the throttle a bit it returns to normal.

Any ideas?

Sounds like it could be a prop problem, but that's just a guess.

Could be, but I would think it would shake more and more up to the point of full throttle instead of suddenly starting when I hit a certain point.

You know, I have an 18' boat with a 115 on it, and there is a certain speed and rpm that my boat will start to shiver. I think it has to do with the resonant frequency of the motor, the boat, the two of them together, or who knows. I don't know if this is what you're experiencing, but I don't think there's anything I can do about mine.

Check your hub like Zook said. I musta read the post wrong thinking you had a 115. Visually look at the rubber hub portion.........prolly see your problem.
