I might not have as much trouble with partners this year. Got a text from a buddy of mine this morning.
"BassMasters is on ESPN. Let's go fishing!"
I asked if he needed anything from BPS and he said "Nope, I'm good. I just wanna fish!"
Looks like we'll be Crappie huntin till Bass season opens up

I was actually thinkin about that when I was In Harbor Freight a few days ago. They had 2 packs of LED flashlights
That's really all I use that's different when night fishing. Of course I am bank fishing so there is a lot less preparation needed. I usually carry a rod with a black spinnerbait with a gold Colorado blade and a rod with a t-rigged 10" dark colored worm or some sort of large creature bait. You don't want to have to re-tie and change baits too often in the dark. Night fishing is a lot of fun though, it really helps you concentrate on feel because you can't see your line.

I'd be strappin those flashlights to my boat.
Read a great tip in Bass Master a while back. Use solar lights for night fishing

I lucked out and got a great wife. I can go whenever I want to. I usually fish 4-5 times a week. She also lets me feed the bait monkey every spring without complaining.

My issue isn't with the wife, it is the kids that put a hold on my fishing. I had planned on pre-fishing for my next tourney this weekend, but ended up spending the weekend at my son's paintball tourney instead. (I never expected them to make day 2).
Next week begins spring soccer for my daughter, so fishing becomes a balancing act between kids sports.
I am not complaining about it, just stating the facts.

I'd say that qualifies as a definition of a good parent.

Fishing is a balancing act for many of us. Getting a chance to go has to revolve around your work, church, kid's sports and the lawn not getting out of hand. It is rare my wife balks about me going fishing especially if I keep enough for a meal. When she does it usually has something to do with the fact I lose a whole day when I go.

When you're on fish though it's great to share that with someone who appreciates it as much as you.

Yea we dominated them, haha,we couldnt keep our hooks in the water for longer than a minute!!..It was a blast!! (post coming soon!)

Although my wife isnt a fan of fishing, she definitely gives me alot of fishing space..We work really well as a team when it comes to personal and family time...Thats a big reason why I build my rods in the living room,so we can still talk and spend time together since building is very time consuming..We have the kids week on,week off...So juggling my time between family, band, and fishing can be difficult, but I think we got a good system going where were both happy...It took awhile to get it there, though, lol.

I do a fair amount of fishing alone...I prefer company but I only fish with about 4 people,so conflicting work/life schedules often leave me on the banks solo (or they just dont like me).....I have just as good of time..Im out of house, spending time in nature and relaxing...I just make sure to take a camera as my witness!.

That's the problem I always had with my ex-wives. First it was, "Oh honey go ahead and go fishing tomorrow." Then when I got back it was the silent treatment till I couldn't take it anymore and asked what was stuck up their craw.
"When I said I didn't mind you going fishing, you know I didn't mean all day."
To which I replied, "You know when I said I was going fishing today I said today, not part of today."
And that's how some of the fights started.

That's what I said. "The three ponds equal 24 acres, 24 beers in the case, and 24 hours in the day. Coincidence? I think not!"

Great movie uncle buck is. Love it for real.
Now back to the original question.
I have so many folks wanting to go fishing with me i don't know where to start hahaha. Guess it helps when oyu got a boat, lol. I am hoping i can take everyone that i invited along this year. I truly love to take folks out with me, but at the same time i also want to go by myself. I am sure most of oyu understand me when i say that.

Yea bama I do understand that. I love to fish with folks. But sometimes fishing is sort of an escape from the world. No phones, and no one knows where I am till I'm ready for them too. I've gotten through many a troubling time with just me and the sounds of the pond or lake.
