Default Battery Charger Question

Let me start by saying that I am about to be a first time boat owner and would rather get the right answer from experienced people than figure it out the wrong way on my own. With that said, my question is about the battery charger...I have a dual pro 2 bank system, and I have heard nothing but contradictions as to the use of it... Can you leave it plugged in all the time, or only as needed? Half of the people I asked say yes, half say no. Which is correct? Also, if you can't leave it plugged in all the time and you store your boat away from your home, how often does it need to be charged, and for how long for the batteries to take a full charge?

Welcome to the forum!

Just check to see if it has a maintenence mode-I'd bet it does. If so, plug it in when you get home and unplug it when you head out-set it and forget it. I have a Promariner and it stays plugged in all the time. That is the way they are designed now.
