Bassfishing and Baseball.......
I bet the guys on here who play ball can draw some similarities between the two.....I think in both there is a need for mental toughness and that you have got to be able to shake off a bad day.......

I don't play baseball, I hate it, but football is kinda the same, cause you can get skunked too, and not catch a single one!

Yeah true. But theres only one you can get pancaked in. And only one you can get crosschecked in.

yes and no...lol...I think baseball or basketball would have to be up there......like hockey soccer and football are a lil more team orientated.....
sad to say it but I think golf is pretty close as far as mental toughness as bass fishing.... |

I don't knoiw, I only go to the driving range, and crush balls, about every year lol. Im known as happy gilmore. I can crush a golf ball.

Actually, I always equate throwing a spinnerbait to pitching in baseball. The key for me is often that rising fastball, or burning a spinnerbait - they both work for the same reason, its high, its fast and the hitter (the fish) doesn't have much time to think, only react. But even besides the fastball similarity, all the angles are just the same, the only difference is that in baseball you are just trying to get outs (be it by swinging or called strikes), but in fishing you want your opponent to swing every single time and connect.
