Default Where's Waldo

Okay, so I don't really care about waldo, but I am trying to figure out where I am as a point of reference on my fish finder. I am trying to figure out
The finder is mounted on the bow about a foot right of the transducer. I know that there is "something" visible in the finder between 4-6'. But I do not know how far in front of me that "something" is. I also know that the water is 12.2'. Is that the depth at the end of the finder's cone, or is that directly below me.

Does anyone have a chart that shows the cone as it relates to depth?

Thanks

Most fish finders have a small number down on the bottom of the screen to show the cone size at the bottom.

Prehaps a manual on how to use it would help. Name the make and model and prehaps I can find a simulator for you.

As requested.. I suggest the closest model to down load.

http://www.lowrance.com/en/Downloads/Product-Emulators/

You sit at home and learn to use your Lowrance better.

Practice pratice practice
