I think the number of thoughtful responses I got was one of the reasons I kept posting....thanks again.

This was a great idea.

Here's my "Introduction thread".

I had already met JB and had the pleasure of fishing with him. I wish he was still around..

I'm not reposting mine. I was the typical azzhat - my first three posts were for items I was trying to sell, including a boat. Yeah, I was ignored, just like today. That's actually how I found BF.com, looking for places to list my boat. I'm not only a shallow fisherman, but just a shallow person in general, but I think I'm getting better THANKS TO MY FRIENDS AT BF.com.

Couldn't find my first post-it was back on the old site I guess. I did look at my join date-6/1/03. Hard to believe Ive been hanging around here for almost 10 years! It doesn't seem possible it has been that long.

This has been a great thread guys.

Looking back, I can't believe I've been here 5 and 1/2 years... Apparently, I've made too damn many posts, as it won't display them all... Oh well, I'm sure I was asking for advice about learning a casting reel, cause that's what I was searching for when I found this forum.

It would be interesting to know the percentage of members who came here as complete newbies, vs experienced anglers looking to broaden their horizons a bit.
