Reel/rod question...
I'm thinking about getting myself a new set up, and being short on money i'm going to try to get a set up that can double for saltwater and freshwater. right now i use a Shimano sahara spinning reel on a 6'6" Ugly stik... it works well for its age, and the fact that its been through a lot. But now is the time where the infamous bait monkey comes out from hiding and shoots for the big stuff.. so my question would be... what set up do you think would be most practical for using in both fresh and salt water? Thanks

for light salty fishing any heavy bass tackle can work well.. the differance is flushing your reels.. i seen a penn combo today for $75 309 reel on a 7 foot mariner rod.. zooker

Yeah i always make sure to rinse them with freshwater, then spray them over with a coat of anti-corrosion spray. I'll look into the Penn combo... thanks.
