Default On the board for 2010!

Bass season isn't open for another month yet here in MN, but we did some crappie fishing a couple weekends ago. I was using a pink Marabou jig (recommended to me for crappies last year by a guide I know on this lake) and pulled in these two bass to get me on the board for 2010. I also caught a Rock Bass and a Walleye, but no Crappies. Hoping to get a chance to try again this weekend.

2lb 12oz, 16.0" Smallmouth

2lb 6oz, 15.5" Largemouth

Congrats on the first bass of the season, or should I say the year, lol. Gotta love catching bass before the season's open while fishing for other species.

You southern guys are wimps... First it's too cold to fish with the unusual winter the that stuff supposedly called snow, and now it's just some severe storms and a few tornados... jeez...

I feel for you guys up there, I cannot imagine having a "season" for bass fishing. That sounds way too much like Deer season or Turkey season, or Duck Season. I guess living in the south certainly eliminates the need for a "Bass" Season.
Nice fish and Korngrats for getting on the board for 2010!

Right on! I know the feeling. Just got on the board myself last week.
