it takes away from the human element of casting and watching , feeling for the bite, but it would come in handy on the river to hit those sweet spots that no boat can reach rofl

now i am scared.. jolly i seen them casting the rigs in the early stages.. my understanding is there is 2 weight classes it is like 12oz and 24 oz-not sure- they use 60 feet of shock leader -20-40 pound test- then the line 4 or 6 pound test ande-ande is the only reconized world wide regulation line-most rods are 16-18 feet long the reel looks very much like a fly reel except they can turn it on a pivot .they start faceing 180 degrees from the target with i am guessing 30 feet of line out.the actual cast is very odd looking but man do they go long with it..they end up facing the target.. north carolina is home to the two guys that hold the world records.. zooker

I don't care for the product, but it gave me a dumb idea anyways.
Instead of using the precision caster to place a lure, why not use it to troll with the line TIED to the RC boat. That way when you hook the fish, you are fighting it by driving the boat around....no rod or reel needed. A true competition of ANIMAL VS MACHINE.

My best is around 365 feet. A foot ball field length and then a little more. That is with a 60lb shock leader 8n bait. 12 foot rod and a slosh30 on juice.
900 hundred feet is a heck of a long cast. But in surf fishing the fish are not always out real far. For instance I was fishing for flounder in the last roll of surf last week and got several nice puppy drum. Kinda like the guy on the shore casts real far out while the guy in the boat casts against the shore. (The grass is greener anywhere but here) Capt Mike

My friend and I used to use remote conrtrol boats to carp fish. You'd hang a few lines, some floating, some sinking over the antenna on their swivels and drive out to the middle. Then you'd start doing donuts until the waves got big enough for the swivel to bounce itself off. It worked sorta decent, but as skittish as carp get sometimes, it almost made more noise than it was worth.
