Default Whats up everybody ?

Hey all. I havent been on here for awhile. Anyway , I had my little girl a little over 5 months ago , and have taken a big step back from fishing. I havent had my boat out in over 5 months. I havent been to a club tournament in over 6 months. I actually have kind of enjoyed the break. I know this sounds crazy , but I was totally into fishing. It ran my life. I am going to fish my next club tourney in about a month. I hope I havent lost anything...You know , rust if you will. Anyone else ever take a break ??

I agree, where are the baby pics? Nice to see ya back pal! I have to take a break every year from November to March. After about 2 weeks I start to get a little shakey. By mid Jan, I need meds, lol. About 20 years ago I took a break for a couple years. I got away from fishing and started golfing and spending a lot more time behind a camera shooting landscape and outdoor photography. I recovered from my temporary insanity regarding the golfing and have been back to my old bass fishing obsession. I still like to get out with the camera though!

Welcome back. Dont'cha just love them sweet little cherubs? Every year I break from about the end of October till April. I'll sneak a few days in as early as February if it warms up enough.

Hey Cmorg glad to see you back around here. Once Lake was born fishing took a backseat for me as well so I understand where you are coming from. I didn't really take a break but probably should have because for the first few months I was just forcing myself to go and more or less was just going through the motions. I had a two day championship to fish the week after Lake was born so we actually scheduled the C-section so that I could spend some time on the water pre-fishing after he was born, but the good Lord has his own plan and Lake came 8 hours before his scheduled arrival anyways lol. The Championship was a grind knowing that my little buddy was at home and I was freezing to death on the water and it threw my whole though process off and my fishing suffered in a big way. Taking a break until your ready to get after it 100% is the smart angle to take in my opinion. Welcome back and I glad that things are going well for you guys and the new addition.
