Cloudy and Rain for the most part with cooler temps that started dropping the water temp's as well!!!!
25-26 September 2010 - Lake Guntersville – Spent the weekend with Larry and Dan from Kentucky, couple of great guys and anglers. We started Saturday morning on the very upper end where we found several nice largemouths mixed in with some nice spots. Most of our bites where very light, our lure would just get heavy. We used shaky heads, flukes and sammy’s for the most part. We made our way down to the Mudd Creek area for the afternoon and fish the grass, where we used frogs, flukes and spinner baits to bag our better fish…water temp on Saturday was held right around 80 degrees, mainly clear and we had some current in the morning. Sunday, we put in at BB Comer and worked our way down to Goose Pond area, we found fish in 6-8 FOW using flukes, spinner baits and of course frogs. Larry just had to use what he called a “Wild Cat Blue” frog, which produced our best frog action of the weekend. Water temps fell and kept falling during the day do to the weather…cloudy and rain for the most part. Water temps ranged from 77.5 to 80 on the high end. Our most dependable bite came on a fluke worked in 4-8 foot of water in scattered grass…with the rain and cooler temps that look like they are going to stay around look for these fish to put on the fall feed bag later this week….make your reservations for a trip soon we still have dates available in October and have started booking into 1st of November...."Let's go fish'in
