Clear Skies
21-23 Oct 2010 - Lake Guntersville Fishing Report– I was joined two father son groups and an old friend from Kentucky. We fished the lower and Mid-Lake areas, found fish in 1-8 FOW using Football head Jigs, Sammy’s and Brush Hogs. Again this week we faced blue bird clear shy’s almost every day. We had to fish hard for the quality bite, there are some smaller fish schooling. Water color ranges from slightly stained to clear for the most part. Water temp’s ranged from 65 to 69 degrees. Guntersville has started to produce some better fish (over 5 pounds) but it’s still hit and miss for the most part. Shad have moved into the pockets, points are covered with them as well. If we get the forecasted rain and lower temp’s fiahing should pick up. Make your reservations for a trip soon, we still have dates available in October...Smallmouth fishing should start picking up in mid November on Tim’s Fords. "Let's go fish'in”
