Windy and sunshine for most of the day
24 Mar 2011 - Lake Guntersville Fishing Report –Today, I was joined by Brian and Sherrie Winn for a full day trip than Greg Howell and Mike Thompson for a late afternoon trip. The water temperature on for the most part was 55.5 and with sun shine all day it had climbed to 62.3 by days end. The main river channel has improved to slightly stained with North Saulty and other coves being stained heavily. We fished the mid-lake using rattle traps, square billed crank baits, Brush Hogs, Tightline Jigs “both Black/Blue and Guntersville Special Colors. All day long it was a Great Day. With Brian and Sherrie boating over 30 fish flowed by Greg and Mike boating another 25 this evening. Most fish ranged in the 2-3 pound range, Ms. Sherrie had the big fish of the day coming in at just over 5.50 pounds. We caught almost all our fish today in 5-10 foot of water with a few coming just on the edge of flat that had deeper water next to it. Guntersville is showing signs of a all out fish producing April and May! I have the 1st and 3rd of April available than the next open days start on 8 April, I’m already booking days for the May and June, make your reservations now for some great mid spring action on Guntersville. “Let’s go fish’ in”
