Partly Cloudy to Sunny
23-25 May 2011 - Lake Guntersville – Had a great time the past three days, First Chris and his Betterhalf “Nic” spent Monday with me, than Monday evening and Tuesday I was joined by Joey Mines, and his side kick “Dan” the cameraman to shoot an episode for “Outdoors with Joey Mines” which will air on FOX South in the next month or so. Today, Greg and Larry drove down from Cookeville, TN for some great top water action. Everyone caught lots of fish on almost every stop! Numbers are up with my clients catching 45-55 fish per day on a average. Schools of fish starting to stage in a early summer pattern on road beds and ledges, but don’t give up on the shallow morning or late evening bite! Most fish are still in the 2-3 pound range with a 4-5 pound fish in the mix. Water temps are steady at 79 to 83 degrees. Our better fish came on Swim Baits, Tightline Football Head Jig’s (Black/Blue), t-rigged Brush Hogs and Assassinator Spinnerbaits and plastics. The top water bite both early morning and late afternoon on Assassinator buzz baits, www.assassinatorbaits.com and Pop-R’s. The frog/rat bite is slowly starting when the sun gets up, in the areas that have duck weed and lily pads starting to emerge, the grass in not far from topping out in some areas of the lake already. I have a few days available this month. I'm already booking days for the June and July, make your reservations now for some great late spring/early summer time action on Guntersville and Nickajack. We supply all fishing gear, lures at no additional cost you and 110% dedication to making your trip successful. Make your reservations now for some great action on Tennessee River. “Let’s go fish’ in”
