Sept 26/27, 2011, Lake Guntersville Fishing Reports – After taking a few days off and enjoying a short trip to Florida, I was back on the water for a marathon two days. Both Monday and Tuesday, we fished the Mid-lake area out of Goose Pond. Both days we caught lots of fish mainly on top water presentations. Fish seemed more active for the first two hours and last 3 hours of the day. We found fish almost exactly where I left them a week ago; holding up in scattered grass, some of our best fish came in 3-8 FOW just off the mats. Most fish where in the 1-3 pound range with the exception of Roger’s 3.5 - 4 pound fish Tuesday afternoon. Water temps are still in the low-mid 70’s for the most part. Our better fish came on Assassinator buzz baits (Black and Red) and Spooks. We also caught fish on, t-rigged OL’ Monsters, Sammy’s and El Grande Sapo Frogs. We’re still seeing a good daily average of 25-40 fish. I have the 29th of September open with days available in October and November! Make your reservations now for some great action on Guntersville, Nickajack or Tim’s Ford. We supply all fishing gear, lures at no additional cost you and 110% dedication to making your trip successful. “Let’s go fish’ in”
