May 4-6, 2012, Lake Guntersville Fishing Report – Just finished three great days on the water with some exceptional clients from Madison AL, to West Virginia. Everyone had lots of fun catching fish had a lot of fun catching fish. But I have to admit the highlight of the past three days was watching Young Mr. Jake Wilson (2011’s Big Fish Winner for the Youth) and Young Mr. “I have a broke finger” Andrew, put 2 good limits of fish in the boat. They caught them on Assassinator Spinner baits, skinny dipper swim baits; Zoom Speed worms lizards, Pop-R’s and Tightline Jigs. We fished the mid section of the lake focusing our attention on main channel grass in 2 to 12 FOW early than backed off to some ledges in the afternoon. By far the best bite remains early along the grass lines with the shad spawn. Water temperature over the last couple days has been 77-80 degrees. Most fish where in the 2 to 3.5 pound range with a couple of fours in the mix. Please drink lots of water and use a good sun screen when on the lakes. Make your reservations now for some great action on Guntersville or Tim’s Ford. We supply all fishing gear, lures, including A-rigs at no additional cost you, Military Discount and 110% dedication to making your trip successful. “Let’s go fish’ in”
