Aug 3, 2012 Lake Guntersville Report – Miles and Trevor from California spent the morning with me on the lake. For a Friday morning the lake was a little; shall we say vacant when it came to other boats. We start down by the state park, where Trevor started the day off with a fish on his second cast and just the kid from California actually keep me so busy I hardly got a chance to drink my coffee. After dropping them back off at the state park, I loaded the boat on the trailer and figured it was frog time. I met up with a buddy and put back in up lake and we proceeded to put some more good fish in the boat. I had Trevor and Miles using SPRO Dawg 100’s and Flukes. We focus our attention in Towne Creek and Minky Creek all morning. This afternoon we stuck with SPRO Frogs exclusively. We caught fish today from start to finish; I’ve said before and say it again the grass growing better and there is more of it than in the past 7 to 10 years. Water temperatures are 85 to 87 degrees. Most fish where in 1-3 pound range with a couple over 4 in the mix. Don’t forget to come by and see the FishLife Weight in system at the SPRO OPEN hosted by Waterfront Grocery and Tackle on Saturday, 25 Aug 2012; 100% payback to 20% of the field. Big Bass Pot will be 100% to the 3 Biggest Bass, Entry Fee of $110 Big Bass included. For more information please contact Waterfront Grocery and Tackle, entry forms are available at Waterfront or email sprofroggville@gmail.com I have days available, make your reservations now for some great ledge and frog action on Guntersville or fall smallmouth fishing on Tim’s Ford.
