Aug 13, 2012 Lake Guntersville Report – Greg and Chris from Cookeville TN joined me today for their first day of two on the Guntersville. First thing out of the gate this morning was Chris with his very first frog fish ever! Solid 4.5 on a Black Widow from SPRO! That was followed by several fish on Tomahawk Worms from Missile baits. The guys caught fish from start till the time we got run off the water by storms. Although most of the fish today, where in the 2-3 pound range, we managed to boat a couple 4-5 pound fish and the guys had a lot of fun. Water temperatures have dropped a little to 81 to 83 degrees. Fishing is good to great if you know where to find them. As a reminder: Waterfront Grocery and Tackle will be hosting the 1st Annual SPRO Frog tournament on Saturday, 25 Aug 2012; 100% payback to 20% of the field. Big Bass Pot will be 100% to the 3 Biggest Bass, Entry Fee of $110 Big Bass included.
