Windy, cloudy
First off I want to say that my family's thoughts and prayers go out to those not only in Alabama but all around the southeast that have had to deal with the latest storms and tornado's and the losses to family and friends and also their property that they may have suffered. I had a trip with a couple of gentlemen from Kentucky yesterday while all of these storms were taking place and the fish were really feeding aggressively, especially in the shallower areas. These guys had a blast catching fish on a few different patterns including plastics, shakers, and buzzbaits. We stayed with shallow milfoil and primrose grass areas all day and in each area the fish were active. The milfoil is finally starting to come up and is looking great, so things are really looking good for shallow topwater action. The better fish that these guys caught had spawned out, and this went along with each area that they fished. This is a very good sign and it should be a consistent pattern for the next few weeks, until the hotter weather settles in. Have fun, Mike
