Blue-Bird Skies
Today was a typical Saturday for lake Guntersville, very crowded and with the way the weather has been this spring we also stayed on course with Blue-Bird skies. It seems though that the weather is finally getting back to normal and so are the fish. The bright blue-bird skies did not hurt the bite at all today and the post-spawn fish were once again very aggressive. I don't keep multiple fish this time of year for pics to be made, so after a quality fish is caught we take a pic and release. We were able to catch some very good fish on Choo Choo Lures 3/4 oz. Shaker with 5" Producer Swimbaits as trailers. We were also able to catch a few fish shallow early on 1/2 oz. shakers, but as the sun got over head the shallow bite turned off and we ended up fishing some deeper eel grass areas for the best results. The water is slightly above normal level and a little stained, but it should get back to normal in the next couple of days. We also seen a lot of new milfoil growth in some of the shallower areas, and this should be a great pattern in the next few days. Have fun, Mike
