Windy
I havn't had a chance to make a report this past week because of being so busy "fishing'!! We have been going in the mornings and getting a little rest to go back out for night trips and the fishing this whole week has been fantastic, morning and evening, and also especially at night. During the mornings and evenings the topwater bite has been "wide open", with most of the fish being caught on zell-pops and spooks. During the day we fished river ledges with scroungers if there was wind or current, and if there wasn't we used Choo Choo Lures Rocker jigs for the slower bite. This whole week was great with a lot of fish in the 4-8 lb. range, well let me be a little more exact, from 4 to 7.12 lb. range. The night fishing has really turned on now with all of the fish coming on 1/2-3/4 oz. spinnerbaits, with one of my client/friends getting a 6.12 lbr., but the sad part to that is the really big one broke him off, and it was a sure enough "HOSS"! If you get tired of the hot sun or the boat and jet ski traffic I really suggest trying some night fishing, trust me you won't regret it, especially when a big fish decides to try to take the rod out of your hand from the hard hit on a slow rolling spinnerbait. Have fun, Mike Carter
