VERY NICE!!!!!
I finally got the opportunity to get out and enjoy a little Crappie fishing yesterday, which brought a little relaxation from the rigors of Bass fishing in the cold...rain...wind...snow...etc. But today was a sad day on the "Big-G", at least it was for the young lady in the pictures with her Dad. Starting off the morning losing a fish right beside the boat that would have easily weighed over 7 lbs. was not the way a great trip with her Dad was suppose to start, especially when the biggest she had ever caught had only been 2 lbs. But I assured her the morning was fresh and had a lot of time to go to redeem herself. The bite the rest of the day was great and very aggressive with a lot of small fish and also some good-uns for pics. The kind of day that makes you feel a lot better finally seeing the "COLD" and rainy, snowy temps finally go away, at least for a while. It seemed the fish noticed this also and were a lot more aggressive than the last few days. The fish today were in the same areas of grass in 7-9 ft. of water on 3/4 oz. Rat-L-Traps being pulled and jerked through the grass, and you didn't have to wonder if you had a strike, they would let you know by "slamming" the bait. The water is still a little stained and there is a lot of trash floating down the river from all of the water coming down from up north. Get out and have fun, Mike Carter
