Guntersville Lake Fishing Report

Cloudy

The fishing for the last couple of days has been slow for the quality bite, at least for me. The numbers were ok with fish coming from shallow Primrose and Lily Pad stems, but the quality just didn't seem to be just right as of now. We used Shakers and Swim Jigs from Choo Choo Lures for these areas, and with the water being from 51-53 degrees it's still a few days from being where it needs to be for an effective quality bite. The deeper grass is still holding true with quality fish coming on 1 oz. Rat-L-Traps, but the numbers in these areas has turned out to be a little slower. It seems the fish are making their move to go shallow and if the weather will stay decent we should see some very good progress in these areas soon. Get out and have fun, Mike Carter
