24 September 2010 - Lake Guntersville –Fished the upper end of Lake Guntersville today, with Larry P. from Albony Ga. We put 18 plus fish in the boat mostly Largemouth…had a few spots in the mix. We both missed some really nice fish today, we caught fish on Sammy’s, flukes, and spinner baits…best producer was a Sammy! Water temps was 79 to 80.9 all day with most clear skies, and clear water. I’m no the water this weekend with some folks out of Kentucky…we’re going to start tomorrow morning at Nickajack Dam and end up Sunday down lake around Water front…If ya'll are going to fish below the dam (s) PLEASE, PLEASE wear a life jacket...saw a couple guys working the swift water today without them...if you fall in you don't have a chance without one! Looks like we have a good forecast of cooler temps and a little rain which should bring the area lakes back to life and trigger the fall feeding...make your reservations for a trip soon as we are already booking into October...."Let's go fish'in
