Partly cloudy with a NW wind 10 mph
It was a wonderful day on the lake as the temperatures were only in the upper 80's and the humidity finally dropped. Plus, there was a nice NW breeze most of the day.
I began the morning on a grass flat off the main river channel but the fish were not there. The last two days I have fished this area, which I know holds fish, but no luck.
I moved upriver to another river channel grass flat and caught a three pounder on a green pumpkin brush hog. Then I headed up to Roseberry and caught some fun two pounders on a sexy shad crankbait and on a 10" worm.
As I was heading back towards Goose Pond I saw an area I had not fished before and decided to give it a try. Over the next hour I caught 10 bass and they were quality size fish. Each fish came on the 10" worm.
The rest of the week has temperatures in the upper 80's and lower humidity. The fish should begin turning back on with the cooler weather.
Come fish with me as I have open dates.
