13 Oct 2010 - Lake Guntersville Fishing Report –Another good day on the Big “G”. Greg joined me today for a late start; Put in at BB comer around 10:30am and ran up to Town Creek, nothing much happening in there. Came back down to Roseberry and started catching them on Buzz Baits and Flukes around scattered grass...those fish averaged 14-16 inches caught 14 before we departed for the back side of the main channel. Found better fish in a hurry, all on a white buzz bait worked along the bank grass. We added another eight fish to the total including our best fish just over five pounds. As I said most fish came on a white fluke and buzz bait, however we did catch fish on ½ oz jigs, sinko’s and t-rigged worms. Our best five of fish would have been in the area of 15 to 16 pounds. Water temps are holding between 71-74 degrees, clarity ranged from clear to a couple of feet. Make your reservations for a trip soon, we still have dates available in October...Smallmouth fishing should start picking up in mid November on Tim’s Fords. "Let's go fish'in”
