Clear and no wind to speak of
16 Oct 2010 - Lake Guntersville Fishing Report, 9.5 Giant Toad – I was joined by Ken and Lori from Dayton Ohio today for a little fun on Guntersville. We fished the Mid-Lake area, found fish in 1-8 FOW using shaky heads, Rattle Traps, Sammy’s and Buzz baits. We had blue bird clear shy’s the entire day. We had to fish hard for the bites we got. Water color ranges from slightly stained to clear for the most part. Water temp’s ranged from 68 to 71 degrees today as we departed at 6:30pm…Guntersville is starting to produce some better fish over the last 5 days with the start of a great fall bite. Shad have moved into the pockets, points are covered with them as well. Today produced the best fish so far this fall sense July 2010 that we’ve caught…A 9.5 Giant as pictured below!!! She came as the last fish of the day for us. Noone was around for a group picture so we took two of the same fish...Make your reservations for a trip soon, we still have dates available in October...Smallmouth fishing should start picking up in mid November on Tim’s Fords. "Let's go fish'in”
