31 Oct 2010 - Lake Guntersville Fishing Report – Today, I had the extreme pleasure of being joined on the water by three of the US Army’s finest soldiers; who are attending the Army’s Advanced Leadership School on Redstone. We fished the Mid-Lake areas, found fish in 1-8 FOW around docks and scattered grass using Sammy’s, Ribbet Frogs, Flukes and Jig’s. Water temp’s ranged from 62 to 68 degrees. Not a cloud in site and a slight breeze that started out of the north. The troopers caught more than 25 fish with several fish in the 2-3 pound range, big fish of the day was right at 4 pounds. We caught fish almost all day working each area slow and completely. The grass is starting to break-up and the fish are moving into a more predictable pattern. Those of you that can take a service member fishing for a day, you’ll really enjoy it! Make your reservations for a trip soon, we have dates available in November...some great Smallmouth fishing should start picking up in mid November on Tim’s Fords as well. "Let's go fish’ in”
