Sunny and warm
16 Mar 2011 - Lake Guntersville Fishing Report –Today, I was joined by Paul (aka Coach B) and his son in-law Nick both from North from the Georgia. The water temperature on for the most part was 53.5 to 59 degrees all though today. Local weather was first half of the day mostly cloud and the afternoon sunny. The main river channel has improved is flowing fairly well at just under 100,000 CFS flow rate and stained. We fished the mid-lake using rattle traps, square billed crank baits, swim baits, Brush Hogs, Tightline Jigs and chatter baits. We managed to catch a lots of good keeper fish working Swim Baits, Spinner Baits and Brush Hogs. Our better fish came from 4-12 FOW on swim baits with one except a 6.5 pound fish that was caught on a Gold with Black back rattle trap in 5 FOW. With the current forecast for warm temps and sunshine Guntersville should just explode some time in the next two weeks. I have a few of days available at the end of March and I’m already booking days for the April and May, make your reservations now for some great action on Guntersville. “Let’s go fish’ in”
