Clear, sunny and strong winds again
05 Apr 2011 - Lake Guntersville Fishing Reports – Bruce and Stephen joined me today for their windy Lake Guntersville fishing trip and a little pre-tournament planning/scouting. Again today, we saw strong north westerly winds and 2-4 foot rollers on the main channel towards the end of the day. Water temps started out at 58.8 and by the days end we found some 65.6. The best action (today? There was none) but we did catch several quality fish with nothing over 4.25 pounds and for the most part is still in the 3-10 FOW. Our most productive bait football head jig by Tightline Jigs on Mid Lake points, secondary points and in the coves. With forecasted high temps of 75 degrees or better, the fishing is only going to get better on both Guntersville and Nickajack in the coming weeks with both lakes showing signs of a all out fish producing April and May! I have few days left in April, I’m already booking days for the May and June, make your reservations now for some great mid spring action on Guntersville and Nickajack. It won’t be long and we’ll see the steady spinner bait and top water bite on both lakes “Let’s go fish’ in”
