Cloudy most of the day
April 20, 2012, Lake Guntersville Fishing Report – What a day! Greg from Birmingham AL joined me today on the Mighty Guntersville. Greg and I caught fish from the time we set down on our first stop this morning to the time we put the boat back on the trailer at 2:30pm. We only needed to use two lures; Assassinator “Clacker” Spinner baits and SPRO Frogs. We fished from Siebold to Goose Pond focusing our attention on new grass in 2 to 12 FOW for most of the morning. After lunch we focus our efforts on a little frog fishing, there are still lots of good fish around new grass, new lily pads growth and stumps in with 1 to 6 FOW. The shad spawn is staring on some areas of the lake. Water temperature averages are in the 70-74 degree range. Most fish where in the 3-4.5 pound range, we did have a couple of good fish including a 5, 6.5 and Greg supplied the kicker fish which was 8.35. We have days and guides available. Make your reservations now for some great action on Guntersville or Tim’s Ford. We supply all fishing gear, lures, including A-rigs at no additional cost you, Military Discount and 110% dedication to making your trip successful. “Let’s go fish’ in”
