8 July 2011- Lake Nickajack – Friday, I was joined by I was joined by Harvey from Portland TN. We fished the lower end from Hales Bar down. Water temps are holding at lower 80’s. We fished Tightline Jigs, Assassinator Spinner Baits and t-rigged worms. We caught fish on every stop with lots of good keeper fish in the 2-3.5 pound range. The vast majority of fish we caught today came from 2-8 FOW mainly on Assassinator Buzzbaits and Spinnerbaits around grass. Nickajack has great ledge and channel grass fishing! It’s getting hot out there after about 10am, please drink lots of water and use sunscreen. I have days available in July and I’m already booking into the fall months!
