Sunny to partly cloudy but very, very windy.
The day didn't seem so windy when I left my house but after leaving the boat launch and going into open water it was down right blustry out there. White caps and howling wind. I attempted to fish a point from the windy side but the waves were just too uncontrollable. Decided to duck into a little cove off the main lake and as soon as I hit the non-windy side of the point, in about 5' of water with thin bunches of maidencane, I got a hit from a nice 3 1/2 pounder off my Senko. Proceeded to try jig, cranks, and different colored senkos up and down the windless side to no avail. Moved into one of the canals and got another 3 pounder in 6' of water with maidencane (senko again). Tried to fish a point in open water (10' - 14') but the wind and waves were just too much.
