Windy!
Well we had a great day on rousseau yesterday. Started out at 7am and tried throwing devil's horses. Caught 2 small keeper's right off the bat. Next we headed to the stumpfield across from the peaceful acre's boat ramp throwing traps and this seemed to be the ticket all day. We caught 10 fish in this stump field in less than an hour and only 2 didn't measure. Biggest was 5-4. Fish kinda slacked off in this stump field so we headed west near the barge canal and fished the stumpfield on the right. First cast 2lber on a custom painted crankbait. Lot's of floating grass over there but trap's and dt's 6's painted in a shiner or bluegill pattern seem to really kick butt around these mat's. We caught another 5lber over here and a few more dink's. All and all it was a great day, We need to install seat belt's on our boat though in case we fish another stumpfield in 20mph wind again...lol.
