Nice Florida Sunshine with clouds here and there and rain threatening.
It is early September and the bass are schooling. The schooling bass are one and two year olds. Under the surface breaking bass are larger ones. An angler just needs keeps his eyes and ears open to spot the bass. Then move in and catch them. Once the fish stop the surface activity they are still in the same location; just under the surface waiting for a new batch of bait to swim by or a lure to drop in. The bass have been caught on Chug Bugs, Jitter Bugs, Rattle Traps, Stick-Os, Texas rigged worms and a variety of other lures. The key is not the lure or the color of the lure but knowing the location of the bass. Those of us who fish Stick Marsh regularly have been having a blast. Three photos show bass that were caught under the schoolers.
