Mid 70's air temp, 10mph winds...mostly sunny, some cloud cover.
I started the morning fishing a Rapala DT6 around boat docks when around 10:30 I caught a fat female largemouth right at 4 lbs. Was fat and full of eggs. A few minutes later I had one take the crankbait from me. So I started throwing a suspending shad rap that ran about 8ft. Imediately caught a small spotted bass on the shad rap. By 5:30 I finally stuck my 3rd fish, a 2lb largemouth in about a foot of water in the very back of a creek...on an 1/8 ounce shakyhead jig with zoom june bug finesse worm. 3 fish from 10:15a.m. to 5:45p.m. is not nad considering I am fishing the lake from my kayak.
